The Marines
I proudly served as a United States Marine Corps infantry machine gunner and completed two combat deployments. The Marines taught me discipline, accountability, resilience, and the mindset of never quitting when things become difficult. Those lessons became the foundation of who I am. But the greatest challenges of my life came after I took off the uniform.
The Setbacks
Like many veterans, I faced battles that could not be seen. Multiple spinal compression fractures. Two knee surgeries. A struggle with alcoholism. There were days I barely recognized the person looking back at me in the mirror. I had every excuse to accept that as my new reality — but I refused to let my circumstances define who I would become.
The Rebuild
The gym became more than a place to lift weights. It became the place where I rebuilt my confidence, discipline, and purpose. Every workout was another step toward becoming stronger — physically and mentally. It taught me that transformation belongs to the people who keep showing up, especially when they do not feel like it.
While rebuilding my health, I continued pushing in every area of life. I worked a full-time career while being a husband and father, used my GI Bill to earn a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, and earned certifications as an ISSA Master Trainer and NASM Elite Trainer. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Information Technology — because I believe education is another form of self-improvement that never stops.
Why Odin's Iron Temple Exists
I founded Odin's Iron Temple because I was tired of seeing people sold quick fixes, crash diets, and cookie-cutter workout plans that ignore the realities of everyday life. Real people have careers, families, injuries, stress, and setbacks. They deserve coaching that works in the real world while still delivering real, measurable results.
Every program I build is designed with purpose. Nutrition should be sustainable. Training should be intelligent, progressive, and adaptable. And education should empower clients to understand not only what they are doing — but why. My goal is not simply to help people transform their bodies. It is to give them the knowledge, confidence, and discipline to maintain that transformation for life.
What the Name Means
In Norse tradition, wisdom, perseverance, and courage were earned through hardship — not given. I believe the same is true today. Strength is not measured only by the weight on a barbell. It is measured by your ability to keep moving forward when life knocks you down, to remain disciplined when motivation fades, and to become a better version of yourself every single day.
Odin's Iron Temple is more than a coaching business. It is a commitment to becoming stronger in every area of your life.
Whether your goal is to lose weight, build muscle, improve your health, compete, or simply regain confidence in yourself — I am committed to giving you the same honesty, dedication, and effort that I expect from every client who joins this community.
"This is more than a workout program. It is more than a meal plan. It is a commitment to becoming stronger in every area of your life."
Thank you for trusting me to be part of your journey. I do not take that responsibility lightly, and I look forward to helping you build a body and a mindset that will serve you for the rest of your life.
